The receipt of this Assistantship obligates the recipient to serve an average of ten hours/weeks during the academic year as an assistant to a faculty member who is teaching in the Ph.D. program.

It is offered to graduating Master of Divinity seniors of the seminary for a year of full-time study at Calvin Seminary in the Master of Theology degree program. At least two years of undergraduate residence is required. Selection is based on academic record, character, personality, doctrinal soundness, and promise of growth. The applicant must meet the standards for candidacy for the Th.M. degree.

    The Diamond Jubilee Scholarship is for a year of full-time study at Calvin Theological Seminary with a view to securing the Th.M. degree. The amount of the award is $5,000 and full tuition. Graduating seniors and all ordained ministers of the Christian Reformed Church are eligible. In order to receive consideration, the applicant must meet the academic standards for candidacy for the Th.M. degree from Calvin Theological Seminary. The award is based on the following factors: academic achievement, proposed program of study, and personal qualification such as character, doctrinal soundness, and professional competence.

    Graduate Studies Doctoral Assistantships are available to students in the Ph.D. program at Calvin Seminary whose previous academic work is of high quality, who show promise of scholarly contribution, and who have financial need. Tuition charges are paid from the proceeds of the award. The amount in excess of the annual tuition cost is considered remuneration for serving an average of up to 10 hours a week during the academic year as assistant to a faculty member teaching in the doctoral program.
